The most advanced wine intelligence company in the world.

We believe choosing a wine should feel as good as drinking one.

Wine is one of the last industries running on asymmetric information — where the expert holds everything and the consumer has almost nothing. We are not here to replace the sommelier. We are here to make the sommelier larger, and the knowledge they carry accessible to everyone.

Connect · Intelligence · In motion

A name that encodes its own meaning: kinetic energy, the internet, and the Confucian principle of life force — all in seven letters.

The mirror structure

Conekt · iq

Read the name carefully. Conekt is the act — to connect, to conduct, to set in motion. iq is the intelligence. In phonetics the full name resolves to kinetic — the physics of energy in motion. A scoring engine that moves faster than the market. A recommendation that arrives before the question is finished. Intelligence, kinetic.

Connect · Intelligence · Motion

The name is the mission.

Conektiq connects people to the right wine, data to decisions, and a $25 bottle to the person who should have found it at $60. The word connect is not metaphor — it is the precise description of what the product does. Every inference we run, every score we produce, every recommendation we surface is an act of connection between a person and the wine that is right for them. The intelligence is in service of that connection. It is not the point by itself.

The corpus · Built for a $400B global market

658,005 scored decisions. Each one a distinct judgment — individual vintage, individual terroir, proprietary methodology applied.

We read the research. Then we built.

Four disciplines · One methodology

Wine science. Earth science. Behavioral science. Market dynamics.

Every scoring dimension in our system has a foundation in documented science. Wine science. Earth science. Behavioral science. Market dynamics. No dimension exists because it seemed reasonable. Every dimension exists because the primary literature demanded it — and because we could document exactly which research supported it.

The research record

Built on primary sources, not industry consensus.

We read neurogastronomy. Sensory evaluation science. Behavioral economics. Cognitive psychology. The science of trust and the science of perception. We read the primary sources in every discipline that touches the wine recommendation problem — and we built what the research demanded, not what the industry assumed. We did not build on received wisdom. We built on the papers.

We are not here to replace the sommelier. We are here to make the sommelier larger.

Human expertise is the source

The knowledge that lives in sommeliers and buyers is what makes wine worth understanding.

A Court of Master Sommeliers certification takes years of study and carries a pass rate under ten percent. That expertise is not being replaced by a phone — it is being given reach it has never had before. The sommelier's knowledge, encoded in every buying decision and producer story accumulated over a career, is what our system is built to amplify and distribute. We have a standing rule written into our technical guidelines: a score that would embarrass us in front of a knowledgeable wine professional is a scoring failure. Not a defensible output. A failure.

Built to last, not to extract

The values of the producers whose wines we carry are values we intend to earn the right to represent.

We do not train models. We use inference — asking a trained system a question — which consumes orders of magnitude less energy than model training. We will commit to renewable-energy infrastructure as we grow. We do not scrape or extract data from sources that have not consented. We do not sell user data. The wine community — its growers farming without herbicides, its estates managed for the next generation — deserves a technology partner who holds themselves to equivalent standards. We are trying to be that company.

"The people who care most deeply about wine should be the people who decide how intelligence tools are used in this category. Not the technologists. Not us."
